Nylands Svenska Lantbruksällskap (NSL) is an extension union for agriculture and rural areas, owned by farmers. The core of operation is advisory services to the Swedish speaking farmers and to small rural enterprises in Uusimaa province. The services include specific advising services to dairy and beef farms; to crop production farms and to rural enterprises. The turnover was in 2013 852.151 euro, with 14 employees. The role of NSL is essential for the project: the target area farmers are the clients of NSL and to ensure the good cooperation and positive attitude towards the proposed actions, NSL advisors have an important role as contact persons and intermediates between the farmers and other project partners.
