JTI – Swedish Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering is an industrial research institute engaged in research, development, innovation and information in the areas of agricultural engineering and environmental technology. JTI belong to the SP-group, Technical Research Institute of Sweden with about 1 400 employees. JTI has close links with trade and industry. In collaboration with trade and industry, we produce results that can be translated directly into real-life practice. Our work provides companies and authorities with a better basis for decision-making, a powerful competitive edge, less impact on the environment and wiser management of natural resources. Quite often JTI cooperates in projects with farmers, farmers advisory organizations and farmers organizations both in Sweden and Baltic Sea countries. The annual turnover year 2014 was 5,5 MEUR and JTI has about 60 employees. The head office is located in Uppsala and JTI has one office in Lund with four employees (Southern Sweden) and one office in Skara (Western Sweden) with one employee. JTI has been and is involved in EU-funded projects, Baltic Sea Region projects, and international as well as national funded projects, i.e. JTI has a long experience in various types of international projects. Among our staff we have well-reputed project leaders, high qualified specialists as well as experienced technical staff.
